Borussia Dortmund have secured their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over TSG Hoffenheim at Signal Iduna Park.
The match was dominated by the hosts, who were able to take control from the start and create numerous opportunities for themselves. In the 16th minute, Marco Reus hit the post with a powerful shot, before Muenchen's goal came in the 38th minute when he finished off a well-worked move.
In the second half, Dortmund continued to dominate possession and create chances, but it wasn't until the 74th minute that they finally broke through. Christian Nembhard made a superb run down the left flank and crossed the ball into the box, where Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang headed home from close range.
A few minutes later, Dortmund added a second goal thanks to another excellent performance from Muenchen. Ademola Mnen received the ball on the edge of the box and calmly slotted it past the Hoffenheim goalkeeper to give his team a comfortable lead.
Despite the defeat, Hoffenheim manager Frank Schaefer praised his side for their performance and said that they will be disappointed not to have taken something from the game. However, he also acknowledged the quality of Dortmund's players and said that they will need to improve if they want to compete against the best teams in Europe.
