Southampton have suffered their second defeat in a row, falling 2-3 to Wolves at St Mary's Stadium on Saturday evening. The loss sees the Saints slip further down the table and could be a turning point for their relegation fight.

But it wasn't meant to be for Southampton as Wolves hit back. In the 57th minute, Diogo Jota scored his first goal for Wolves since joining the club in January. The winger scored after beating the offside trap and firing past Alex McCarthy.
It looked like Wolves had sealed all three points when they doubled their lead in the 88th minute through Adama Traore. But Southampton refused to lie down and fought back, with Van Dijk scoring in stoppage time to ensure that the game ended 2-3 to Wolves.
The loss means that Southampton now sit just two points above the relegation zone and will need to pick up some momentum soon if they want to avoid the drop. With only six games left this season, every win is vital for the Saints' survival hopes.
